Q: What is the New York State Association of School Attorneys' (NYSASA) E-mail Group?
NYSASA offers its members the opportunity to participate in an E-mail Group (“listserv”) focusing on issues of concern to school attorneys in New York State. Pose a question to your colleagues or share your experiences on a particular issue by sending an e-mail message using your regular e-mail account to the NYSASA E-Mail Group address. Your message will be automatically distributed to the entire group of participants. Participants can respond to your postings. The NYSASA E-Mail Group is open to current NYSASA members ONLY.
Q: How do I join the NYSASA E-Mail Group?
If you are a current NYSASA member:
On the right-hand side of the page, click on “Subscribe or Unsubscribe,” then follow the instructions to Subscribe. You’ll receive an e-mail acknowledging your request, followed shortly by another e-mail confirming your enrollment. You’ll receive additional information at that time about unsubscribing, changing your settings when you’re on vacation, accessing the archives, etc.
Q: Once I am subscribed to the NYSASA E-Mail Group, how do I post a message to the group?
Once your enrollment is confirmed, you don’t have to visit or sign in to the NYSASA website to post a message to the E-Mail Group. To post a message and have it received by all NYSASA members currently subscribed to the E-Mail Group, just open up your regular e-mail account, write your message/question, and send it to the following e-mail address:
For ease of use, and to ensure that e-mails generated from the NYSASA E-Mail Group make it into your inbox, you should create a “New Contact” in your e-mail program using the above address.
Q: What if I don’t remember whether I’ve already subscribed to the NYSASA E-Mail Group?
Don’t worry – for this and other questions about subscribing to or using the E-Mail Group, you may contact the NYSASA E-Mail Group administrator at any time:
