Explore the ethical issues for school attorneys that arise while representing school districts in collective bargaining, employee discipline, dealing with outside entities and similar matters. This program will include review of the applicable ethical standards and practical guidance when confronting these ethical issues, as well as review of the nuances of the attorney-client privilege.

Who Should Attend:
This webinar is open to all attorneys who practice in New York, and in particular, those who practice in the area of Education Law.
New York State Continuing Education (CLE) Credits: One (1) Credit Hour of Ethics and Professionalism.
This program is approved for 1 CLE credit hour in Ethics and Professionalism in New York. The content is appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.
Experienced New York attorneys (attorneys who have been admitted to the New York Bar for more than two years) may earn CLE credit through nontraditional formats. Under the changes adopted in 2016 by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board to permitted formats, newly admitted attorneys may earn CLE credit for certain nontraditional programs, including ethics webinars where questions are allowed during the program. Partial credit for program segments not allowed. Under the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board Regulations and Guidelines, attendees at CLE programs cannot receive MCLE credit for a program segment unless they are present for the entire segment. Persons who arrive late, depart early, or are absent for any portion of the segment will not receive credit for that segment.
