NYSASA has established basic Guidelines governing behavior for all participants of its Listserv. Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these important Guidelines, as well as the Disclaimer and Privacy Policy below. By joining NYSASA's E-mail Group, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. If you have any questions, contact the NYSASA Listserv administrator, Ashley Sweeney (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). NYSASA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for persons who violate these rules.

Guidelines and Netiquette
The NYSASA Email Group is an on-line discussion area, where opinions and differences of opinion are welcome. Challenging or attacking others is not appropriate.

Selling and marketing are not permitted, so do not post commercial messages. Feel free, nonetheless, to discuss specific products or services, but remember that your comments are made in the public domain. You are accordingly responsible for your comments just as if they were made in a live discussion or a printed publication.

Posting defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials is strictly prohibited. Do not post anything in a message that you would not want the public to see or that you would not want them to know came from you.

Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that it owns the copyright or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants NYSASA and users of the list the non-exclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use the information or other material.

When posting a message, always include your name, organization, and a phone number as a “signature.” Please be sure to clearly identify the topic of your message in the subject line. Use plain text format when sending messages. Pictures, fancy script and other embellishments to your test often cannot be read by other Email systems.

When replying to a message, include only the parts of the previous message that are pertinent to your comment. When possible, delete the header information from the previous message to make the message easier to read. When replying to a question, include the original question or give some context to your remarks.

The WNYRIC/Erie 1 BOCES and NYSASA disclaim all warranties with regard to information posted, whether posted by NYSASA or any third party; this disclaimer includes all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness.

In no event shall WNYRIC/Erie 1 BOCES or NYSASA be liable for special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on the site. WNYRIC/Erie 1 BOCES and NYSASA do not actively monitor the site for inappropriate postings and do not undertake editorial control of postings. However, in the event that any inappropriate posting is brought to the attention of WNYRIC/Erie 1 BOCES or NYSASA, appropriate action will be taken.
